My interest in working with businesses began at an early age, growing up on the outskirts of Newcastle where my dad runs a building services company. Now in its third generation, the experience of the family business has demonstrated to me that strong values, stewardship, and strategic growth go hand in hand. This foundation continues to inspire how I approach my work today and is also one of the key reasons that I was attracted to life as an investor at Blixt – the firm’s focus on growing smaller, private organisations alongside a dedicated, close-knit team culture built on strong values, aligns well with my own core principles.
Prior to joining Blixt, I spent seven years in management consulting after completing my degree at Cambridge University. My consulting journey began at JMAN Group, a data and analytics management consultancy, where I first experienced working with PE firms and their portfolio companies. I then spent three years in the commercial due diligence team at BCG; where I helped private equity organisations answer key commercial questions and gained invaluable experience across a wide range of sectors. This path confirmed my interest in the challenges and opportunities that come from working with ambitious management teams at lower midmarket firms.
Outside the office, you can find me running laps of Hyde Park or watching anything sport-related; particularly supporting my beloved Newcastle United.
